Jessie Bail: 12 Senior 3D Portfolio
“On this piece I used two different glazes. In between those glazes I put a cascade to mix the glazes together to make an easy transition. I put textured bumps which represents that life comes with challenges and not everything goes as smoothly as you hope. This kind of relates to me in the way of me growing up and gaining more responsibility, it has been easy for me because I have great parents and friends to guide me.”

Sakiah Veur: 12 Senior 3D Portfolio
This isn’t a single piece or anything, but it’s my senior concentration for this year! Meaning I am challenged to make 100 mugs by the end of the school year. Right now, I have about 40 mugs. What inspired me: Addi Kirkpartick was challenged to make 100 mugs last year and I want to beat her record. At the end of the year, when we have the District Arts Festival, I will be selling my mugs.”

Caroline Fehl: 12 Senior 3D Portfolio
As a fourth-year pottery student, I have found my ceramic niche, which is to make functional hand crafted forms. I concentrate on making mugs that are comfortable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing. This is my favorite form because it was one of my first mugs that guided me into the path I have taken in ceramics. I love the combinations of glazes and how they break around the texture.

Sophie Wolfberg: 12 AP 2D Design
This Piece was for my first Breadth piece for AP 2d Art. This piece represents duality and hoe every individual has two sides to them. This piece was very exciting to me because it was the first time I got to explore mixed media and combine pastels with photography. I love the freedom that this class gives me as it allows me to explore different types of art. My favorite part about this piece are the colors because I fell as though it accurately reflects the message I wanted to convey.

Sunho Choi (12) Senior Portfolio
“I chose to work on this piece for Senior Portfolio class, and although we didn’t have certain requirements, we were to create an artwork strictly refraining from online photos and other peoples works. So, I chose to develop this piece based on a photo I took on Jeju Island during my family trip. This piece is very meaningful to me because it displays the beautiful scenery of Jeju, in which I was able to view with my family and grandparents. It holds a special place in my heart as it reminds me of an unforgettable experience I had with my family.”
