The CV Hockey team started off the season rough with a 1-5 record. They are looking to change some things and come up with a better strategy to try and pull out some wins this season.

“The strategy is to play hard and get pressure on them early,“ senior captain Ryan Powell said.

The team has set some goals for this season so they can be more successful.

Senior captian Teddy Hill shared one goal. “Find the best chemistry, and to ultimately win as many games we can to make the playoffs."

They may have a had a bad start to the season but there is hope for them to improve and get a better record by fixing the little things.

The hockey games make for a good crowd of people and a fun environment. With all of the loud and hyped-up fans in the crowd, it gives the players energy and makes them ready for the game.

“It gives me energy every time I go out there and play,”  Powell said.

Anyone who plays or likes to be a spectator knows there is nothing better than rivalry games. Games like these bring a different type of energy to the whole environment.

“Our rivals are Central Dauphin and Palmyra these games are always very fun to play in,” Hill said.

The Cumberland Valley Hockey team’s home games are hosted at Twin Ponds West. Come out with a group of friends and bring posters and a loud voice, and be ready to have fun and watch the players give it their best. These players are determined to turn their record around for the remainder of the season.
