The Eagles are coming off a relatively mediocre season as a team, finishing third in the districtand 51st in the state. The team only lost four seniors from last year’s squad.

Senior BenMonn (120) and junior Jake Lucas (182) will lead the charge for the Eagles this year as they look to revenge their title.

Senior Ruston Dzielak said, “I’m ready for the season to finally begin. We have a lot of goals as a team and as individuals, and we have all been working hard this offseason."

Monn said, “I’m definitely excited. We have put in the work and are ready for it to show."

The team started preparing for the season right away. They had after-school workouts and conditioning for most of the week during the spring. Fall pre-season started up two weeks ago, so the wrestlers already have to watch what they eat and get back down their weight classes.

They also have started competitions within their weight classes to see who will get the starting job. Official practice starts up next week and the season starts December 6 and 7 when they host the Cumberland Valley Kickoff Classic.
