Cumberland Valley’s football season ended after a 36-32 loss to Manheim Township in the first round of the playoffs. They finished the regular season at 5-5 which was a two game improvement from the year before.

With the season over, players look back at their accomplishments.

“I think being captain was my greatest achievement. I was trusted to represent a group of my best friends and I thought that was really cool,” senior Max Dell’anno said.

“I think my best achievement on the season was the lasting memories I had with my brothers one last time,” senior Connor Mundis said. "On and off the field we built up relationships that will last a lifetime. And I would do anything for these guys, I went to battle with them."

They are losing 24 seniors, including WR/FS Logan Ramper, K Tim Kissinger, C/DT Connor Mundis, DT/T Wyatt Claypool, and RB/FS Max Dell’Anno.

CV got off to a strong start to the season winning their first two games against Bishop McDevitt and Central York. September was a rough month for the Eagles as they lost all four games in the month.

They bounced back in September getting to five wins which was good enough for the playoffs.

Cumberland Valley had to face undefeated Manheim Township in the playoffs. They played a close game, but could not pull out in the end.

“Our game against Manheim Township, even though we lost, no one even gave us a chance to compete with them. I think what we did proved a lot of people wrong,” Dell’Anno said.

Even with the loss against Manheim Township, the CV players were still excited with how they competed with the undefeated team.

“It was just an overall great season and we proved everyone wrong with making it to the playoffs and proving all the haters wrong especially against Manheim Township,” Mundis said.
