CV Pad Project had their first in-person meeting since the club began in the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year. The CV Pad Project works to provide tampons and pads to women and girls in need in the Central PA area, as well as right here in our school.

“Tampons and pads should be available in every bathroom at our school for free, and we are working with the administration to make that happen,” Pad Project’s co-president Rusham Katoch said at last week’s meeting.

In addition to helping local women, the club works alongside the Student Pad Project at Penn State to raise money for pad making sites in rural India. These pad making sites help the women provide for their community as well as gain financial freedom.

The club has two main goals in mind for this school year. One goal they are actively working towards is to put sanitary products in every school bathroom to be accessible for students when needed. Their second goal is to raise enough money in donations to fund one pad making site all by themselves.

CV Pad Project is a highly inclusive and unique club, with over 100 members currently. New members are always encouraged and all are welcome to join. The club has taken off since first starting just a year ago, and has already accomplished so much in the short time it has been active.
