The flu has been spreading around Cumberland Valley like a wildfire. Sports teams are struggling because they never know who is not going to be at a practice or a game. Teachers are finding it difficult to teach students who aren't in school, and students are struggling to keep up with assignments and tests in general let alone when they miss days of school at a time.

On Tuesday the 21st, 17% of the student body was out with reported flu cases. It is between 7-10% on a normal day.

“Students have been out a week at a time, and that makes us teachers' jobs harder because the students aren't there for us to teach them” math teacher Ms.Polillo said.

It has now been a week since it started to die down and kids are still struggling to make things up.

Even though the flu epidemic at CV is slowing down, we still need to cough and sneeze into our elbows and wash our hands. Don't share food or drinks with anyone, and WASH YOUR HANDS!
