The annual CV Mr. Mini-THON Man Pageant is Thursday, February 20 at 7pm in the PAC. Every year, a group of senior boys raise money for CV Mini-THON, and it remains one of the most popular and successful Mini-THON events.

They solicit companies, email friends and family, host events throughout the year, and much more. Throughout the year they prepare for the event by shooting an introduction video, mastering a group dance, writing a script, and practicing for their talent portion of the show. The diverse group of boys spend a lot of time together and form a lasting and special relationship.

Special Events Chair Courtney Staton said, “The boys have bonded together so well. In our regular practices you can tell they are having so much fun together and genuinely enjoy being around each other. Our fundraisers have also brought them together, and their talking outside of school makes the show come together even more.”

The boys ready for the show in their own ways.

Mr. Mini-THON contestant Justin Rulapaugh said, “The way I practice the dance is by grinding at home on it. I review all the dance moves we learned that day so I am ready for the next songs.”

Mr. Mini-THON contestant Steven Diminio said, “My biggest fundraiser has been emailing friends and their parents.”

Last year the Mr. Mini-THON contestants raised a total of $72,303.02, and Grady Clarke was named Mr. Mini-THON, passing the previous fundraising record held by Kyle Hooven. This year, the boys have a goal to pass last years total and create a new record for Mr. Mini-THON. Every year they perform their dance at the Mini-THON Pep Rally and they will continue this tradition this year.
