To get into spirit for Halloween coming up next week I’ve made a list of my favorite newly released Halloween movies including descriptions.

Hubie Halloween: Starring Adam Sandler with many well known co-stars, the movie follows a man named Hubie who is from Salem, Massatushues finding out a secret haunting his town. Even though he has fears, he is willing to help. The movie is a mystery-comedy. Hubie tries to convince the police and the town that monsters are real. I think it’s a great movie that is appropriate to watch with your family.

The Babysitter: Killer Queen: A sequel to the 2017 The Babysitter, is a horror-comedy film following a boy who discovers his babysitter is actually a part of a satanic cult. In the second movie it's him fighting off the remaining members of the cult. The movie does have a lot of swearing and disturbing images of gore but the movie is incredibly entertaining. Although the movie isn’t rated I would give it rated PG-13 so watch cautiously.

Rebecca: An adaption of the novel by Daphne Du the movie follows a newlywed who is visiting her husband’s family and is being haunted by his first wife. The movie had twists and turns throughout and was aesthetically pleasing to watch. The movie is a mystery-romance and is rated PG-13.

Ratched: Based on a character on Netflix’s iconic show American Horror Story the movie is about Nurse Ratched. She is a new nurse in a mental institution that starts to become violent towards her patients. Although this isn’t a film I binged the show in a day because it has 9 episodes, I found it entertaining with some of her lines and loved the contrast between the bright colors and costumes compared to the dark story. I really enjoyed Sarah Paulson’s acting. The show is rated MA.
