Marvel’s new show streaming on Disney + “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” follows characters Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes after the loss of Captain America. This is the second show in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The show is set after Avengers: Endgame. We get to see more of Sam and Bucky as the main characters instead of being side characters. Marvel gave them storylines and we can see them progressing throughout the show.

I loved how complex each character was and how much thought was put into developing them. We got to see Bucky healing from his past and Sam stepping up as the new character.

I also appreciated that Marvel made sure to point out that a black person becoming Captain America was a big change that was needed. I like how it was realistic for Sam Wilson to question if he was fit for the role to wear stars and stripes during these times.

I really enjoyed watching the action scenes, it constantly kept me at the edge of my seat. It was unpredictable and I liked that.

Only criticism about the show is the pacing of the series, some parts just seemed unnecessary and just filler. The last episode, although I enjoyed it, was super rushed.

Overall, if you're a big action/ Marvel fan, I definitely recommend this series. Beforehand I suggest you are caught up with the events before the show takes place.
