Nolan Buzulka and Crestin Austin led the way for the CV boys' Basketball in their from-behind victory over Cedar Crest 41-34. The two starters combined for 24 of the 41 total points with Nolan scoring 13 to lead the team. R.J. Young led Cedar Crest with 13 points as well.

The game started slow with the score at halftime only being 14-23 CV was down at halftime. The low-scoring game came to the defensive side of the ball with Ceder Crest turning over the ball 4 times in the second half. With crucial free throws from Jake Synder and the combination of J.J Lebo, Buzalka, and Austin, Cumberland Valley advanced.

The Cumberland Valley Eagles now look to Tuesday the 27th to play the 17-8 Reading Red Knights in a Revenge game from the previous 2022-2023 season as Cumberland Valley was defeated by Reading in the District championship last year who then moved on to win states. This win means more to these boys than any win that they have had all season and they are looking to get their revenge.

“They run on ball pressure so we can never let our guard down and we need to be aware of our surroundings.” Senior Adam Summerville said.
