The fresh crop of freshmen have recently started their first week of high school at CV9. How did it go?

“My bus ride is a 40 minute ride to get home, so it would have been shorter if it was better,” said Katelyn Wagner.

Students are happy about the variety of cafeterias and classes, but there were mixed opinions about navigating the hallways between classes.

“I think the hallways should be remodeled or more time be allowed between classes. It takes a long time just to get from one class to another,” Nadia Abel said. On the other hand Katelyn Wagner said, “It was very interesting. I liked how all the classes were divided by 100, 200, 300.”

The 9th graders all agreed that seeing their friends from either Eagle View or Mountain View is great.

“It was better than I expected it to be because I got to see some of my friends from Eagle View that I didn't get to see in a long time,” said Katelyn Wagner.

The culture felt secure and a safe place for the students. “It was better because everyone treats everyone equally there's not a lot of judgment,” Schnider said. She also expressed how it felt more like a high school with the middle schools conjoining.

There is so much more in store for the CV9 students, but they are certainly off to a great start.
