Halloween is filled with many spooky and fun filled times that make for great memories. Many people enjoy being able to dress up and go trick or treating or to a party with their friends.

Most remember their best costumes through the years.

“I think my favorite all time costume was when I was Michael Jackson in 2nd grade,” senior Teddy Hill said.

Kids often compete with their friends to see who can collect the most candy. Then when they get back home it is time to compare and trade. Kids would see who got the most and trade their favorite kinds of candy.

“I enjoyed getting my pillow case and going out to get candy with my friends and then going back to their house to see who had the most,” freshman Noah Riegel said.

Once in high school kids tend to go to Halloween parties or host them.

“I don’t plan to go trick or treating this year, but I am going to a Halloween party this year dressed as a fireman,” Hill said.

Another thing people love to do during Halloween is to go to haunted attractions for the fun and frightening times. One of the popular attractions is Field of Screams in Lancaster.

“I went to Field of Screams and it was one of the best and very scary times ever,” freshman Noah Penica said.

Costumes are another big part of Halloween fun. Costumes range from animals to superheroes. The most popular costumes for kids in 2018 are zombies, Fortnite characters, JoJo Siwa and Lego Ninjago costumes.

No matter what a kid wears hopefully a good memory will be made. Halloween is about dressing up, getting a lot of candy, and maybe even getting to experience a frightful night.
