Sonic the Hedgehog is an exciting film with just the right amount of action, comedy, and emotion. As I was sitting in the theatre, I was constantly engaged in what was on screen.

This movie adaptation of Sega’s blue speedster is one that I could watch over and over without growing tired of it.
Ben Schwartz voices Sonic, and does so with exceptional quality. Schwartz perfectly conveys emotion when emotion is needed, and encapsulates Sonic’s personality seemingly with ease. Jim Carrey did a phenomenal job as Dr. Robotnik, Sonic’s arch nemesis.

Sonic the Hedgehog is not a flawless movie, however.  There are portions of the movie where some of the characters’ reactions and dialogue are questionable.

The action sequences in Sonic the Hedgehog are some of the best I’ve seen in a while. I love how they animated Sonic’s superspeed and his body movements as he is fighting off Robotnik’s drones.

Overall, Sonic the Hedgehog is an ambitious movie that delivers great CGI action, an amazing story, and just a great experience in general.
