Some of the Cumberland Valley class of 2023 have begun their college careers. Some stayed closer to home while others chose colleges further away. No matter where the college is, the experience will be different from high school.

Brady Grimes is studying Business at Millersville University and is learning time management.

“My class schedule is nothing like high school because I don't have many of the same classes every day. I have four on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday but then I have one class on Tuesday and Thursday. So it really makes me have to stay on top of when I need to be in class,” said Grimes, who is also playing baseball at Millersville.

Grimes was a top contributor in the pitching rotation at CV and lead the team to deep state and district runs his junior year.

Ella Will is studying Business at Auburn University and is looking to take her academics to the
next level.

“So far I think that high school was easier when it comes to courses," Will said. "In college, we don’t have as many assignments, but the ones I do have take a good bit of time and actually have a purpose to them, whereas in high school I felt like a lot of the time I would get an assignment to do and then we really didn’t do much with it again, a lot of it being busy work."

Ella Will contributed to the girls golf team going to Mid Penn's her junior and senior year. She also played in the PIAA State Finals with the golf team while enrolled in CV.

Best of luck to all the CV college freshmen in their first years at the next level.
