Bachelor in Paradise is plot twist filled show dedicated to young adults trying to find love. The drama airs every Monday and Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. on ABC, it is set on a secluded island in Mexico. Couples have been forming and love seems to be growing. CV students and teachers have their own opinions on the 32 contestants.

“I love Caelynn and Connor because they are the freaking cutest ever. Connor is adorable and Caelynn deserves the world. I love her,” junior Hailey Selkirk said.

CV students and staff also have their favorite contestants decided.

“Dylan is one of my favorites because he is so so cute and straightforward and knows what he wants,” Selkirk said.

“John Paul Jones is my favorite person. He is very funny and makes good Television,” junior Nicole Mandak said.

There are also characters who students do not favor.

“I don’t like Kristina. She literally is so stupid like she literally made blake lose someone that he could’ve found love with. She is so selfish. Also impossible to have a conversation with; she just is insane and no one likes her. She is fake,” Selkirk said.

“I did not love Tahzjuan, she was a bit of a trainwreck. I liked Cam better on Bachelor in Paradise than I did on The Bachelorette, I think he redeemed himself a little bit. I am not really sure why Dean showed up on Paradise, he has no intention of settling down with anyone, so I am kind of wondering why he bothered,” english teacher Jessica Mealy said.

Even more so, there are couples who are not favored.

“I don’t like Sydney and Mike because I think that Mike deserves better than her because he is perfect and she is just not right for him,” Selkirk said.

For the first time in Paradise history an LGBT couple is on the show.

Math teacher Kristin Grieble said, “I really like what the show has done for branching out and being diverse, I do think that is really cool that they are showing all that. I am interested to see how they play out with when they get roses.”

“I am totally supportive of Demi and Kristian’s relationship, but I think the show knew that Demi wasn’t going to be interested in anyone else down there and they should’ve just embraced their relationship from the beginning,” Mealy said.

“Just like Chris Harrison says ‘There are no rules’,” Grieble said.
