Golden Years is a club gathering high schoolers together in helping, supporting, and befriending the elderly during theirs golden years of life. Students will spend time with senior citizens earning golden hours. To earn these hours, students will complete any act of voluntary service for an elderly person outside of group events.

The club plans to meet the second thursday of every month after school. There will often be other events that causes the club to meet outside of school multiple times a month, but those do not count as regular meetings.

Seniors have an opportunity to get a cord, but they must complete at least 10 golden hours to receive one. Underclassmen who earn a certain number of hours will be rewarded at the end of the year.

The last meeting to join is on October 12. Students can scan the codes in Mrs. Logan’s room (260) to join the GroupMe and Schoology course.

Contact Roberta Haro (717-839-8257) or Mrs. Logan ([email protected]) for any other questions about the club.
