CV Patriots Club at Cumberland Valley High School provides support and volunteer efforts for veterans throughout the CV community. This 82-member club volunteers at multiple veteran events all year long. The biggest event of the year they organize is the Veterans Day Dinner. This year's dinner is Nov 9th at CV High School.

This club is led by Senior Avery Pion, Junior Kaia Crossly, and Senior Maya Sekhar along with staff advisor Mr. Peter Mashinsk and Facility Coordinator Senior Zachary Arcega.

Their first event of the school year was the flag unraveling at the Salute to Service CV football game.

Pion said, “Our flag unraveling event at the Salute to Service football game which really kicked off the school year great and caused a large amount of students wanting to be involved in our club. The rapid support of new members is great and we are so thankful for it.”

The local community of veterans is welcome to attend the dinner November 9.

“This dinner is to honor and recognize the sacrifices our local veterans have made for our community. This dinner includes some speeches from our club presidents, speakers such as our principal and stories from veterans. We also will provide dinner and dessert which our members of our club will be serving. We are very excited for our event,” Pion said.

Veterans who would like to attend can RSVP via email to Mr. Peter Mashinski at [email protected]
