Students flood the student section during the first home football game this past Friday.

Cumberland Valley Students build weeks of anticipation leading up to the first football game where they will cheer on their fellow classmates. CV Football most recently held their first home game which might not have turned out the way CV wanted on the scoreboard, but in the valley it is more than just what is happening on the field that keeps all students connected throughout the school.

“I know everyone is excited when the student body is yelling and screaming,” Principal Dr. Jesse Rawls said.

From Instagram pages to distinct themes, the student section is not something Cumberland Valley takes lightly. Engaged and cheering fans amp up the various sports teams in hopes to capture a victory in return for the student sections' hard efforts.

Friday, the Eagles Nest had their first kickoff under the lights before which seniors got to experience one of the greatest traditions and drench themselves in paint while the rest of the student body flooded each row in their white-out attire.

Dr Rawls instructed students to, “Come out and scream as loud as you can and get everyone hype,” and that is exactly what they did.

The Eagles Nest looks forward to filling the stand with gold in support of CV Mini-THON next Friday at 7pm, where they will cheer on the Eagles who will attempt to clinch their first win against the Rams of Spring Ford High School.
