Mr. Adam Andrechik to Become New 12th Grade Principal

At the end of the month, Dr. Jones will retire from his current position as the 12th grade principal at Cumberland Valley High School. Following his retirement, Dr. Jones will be replaced by Mr. Adam Andrechik.
Dr. Jones has worked in the Cumberland Valley School District since 2010, where he has served as a high school principal, a middle school principal, and an assistant principal at the vocational-technical high school.
Mr. Adam Andrechik is a former Cumberland Valley graduate who is a former principal of Central Dauphin East Middle School. Mr Andrechik received his Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education at Bloomsburg University. He then earned his Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Pennsylvania State University. After spending time teaching in the classroom, Mr. Andrechik attended Wilkes University to earn another Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. Before becoming a principal at Cumberland Valley, Mr. Andrechik spent eight years teaching 7th grade English at Linglestown Middle School, five years as the assistant principal at Central Dauphin East High School, then four years as principal of Central Dauphin East Middle School.
As the new 12th grade principal at CVHS, Mr. Andrechik hopes to leave a positive impact on all of his students. “I would like to get to know as many students of the Class of 2022 as possible in the coming months and ensure everyone is walking with us at graduation. I will strive to support our students, both academically and emotionally, in reaching their goals. I also look forward to collaborating with the CVHS administrative team to implement new ideas and opportunities to benefit our students, staff, and school community. Lastly, I hope to use my experience working with diverse student populations to advocate for marginalized groups and to celebrate our differences,” said Mr. Andrechik.
