Cumberland Valley hosted volunteer presenters for the second annual CV You Day on November 16. You Day is meant to help students explore different careers and learn about different ways to utilize their skills in the real world.

“CV You Day was a really fun way for me to get a look at different jobs and careers that I might want to do in the future,” senior Reagan Basehore said. “I really want to pursue a career with business, so I liked that some of my presentations were focused around business.”

Along with attending different seminars throughout the day, the school held a college and career fair for students to learn more about specific interests that they might have.

“I think the best part of CV You Day was the [college and] career fair. I was able to get different pamphlets and talk to a lot of people about their jobs. I thought it was really cool that the National Guard brought a pull up bar. A lot of people were trying to do pull ups,” senior Alexa Holcomb said.

Over 150 volunteers came in to share their experience with students. Some volunteers came from colleges and businesses like West Virginia University, Shippensburg University, Susquehanna Service Dogs, and Meditation by Katy.
