The 2024 Mini-THON marked another success in the annual fundraising campaign. The talent competition raised over $8,600 toward the Mini-THON total.

The top fundraiser was Natalie Deshane.

THON factor is a singing competition where students from the student body get to perform a song of their choice in front of a live band and audience. The participants even get judged by a judging panel.

The judged picked three top performers after the show: Julianne Canete, Kira Albright and Swamini Chiplunkari

Despite the immense talent displayed on the stage, the winner of the competition is not who has the best performance or voice, the winner is who raises the most money for THON. The contestants do this through their donor drive campaigning for themselves and the event.

“This year THON factor has a lot of talent,” special events chair Sarah Quazi says.

The 2024 THON factor was to be held Friday, January 19, however due to snow and a district wide FID day with all after school activities canceled, the event was rescheduled for the following Monday, January 22.

To watch the event tickets were $5 at the door. There was also a concession stand with baked goods while watching the contestants sing.

As the timeline for raising money for the 2024 THON is coming to a close,THON factor is a great way to boost the donations before the final Mini-THON event in March.
