Junior Jake Mitchell has some big expectations for himself after qualifying for States last year. He said, "I expect myself to go to states and place in the top 8." For his team overall, he believes they have a good shot at the District title.
Even though It’s the beginning of the season, he said, "Even though I haven’t had many matches I’ve been wrestling tough and our team has made a ton of progress."
His special moves are a Crossface Cradle and a Turk. Jake’s takedown move is a single leg takedown which is his favorite takedown. Jake’s current record is 9-5 on the start of the season.
To stay at 145 Jake usually only eats rice cakes and drinks a ton of water. After his weigh-ins he’ll eat two Peanut butter jelly sandwiches to get him ready for his match.
