With the winter season coming to a close and spring arriving, here are the top 5 activities to try out with family and friends for the Spring.
Frisbee golf is a unique and entertaining game you can play at Adventure park right next to Vibrant church. As you can guess, it is a mixture of golf and frisbee. You have to throw a frisbee into what is called a disc golf basket. This is extremely fun but if you're a rookie then it can be very frustrating.
The next activity on the list is golfing. There's no better way to enjoy the sun and spend time with friends than golfing. You get to feel the heat and the wind as you are driving in your golf cart. There is no better feeling than hitting a good shot bragging about it to your friend,s face. Armitage Golf Course and Rich Valley Golf Course are the two most popular in the District.
Hiking is also a popular and peaceful activity. The Appalachian Trail offers hikers a long, winding, wonder of nature that offers people a path to peace and joy. Make sure you bring water and bug spray.
This next activity is one of my favorites and that is going to the park. I chose to go to Adventure Park. It is right next to Vibrant, A Christian Church, and includes a playground, disc golf, sand volleyball courts, soccer fields, frisbee golf, pavilions and picnic table, and the 1-mile Adventure Fitness Trail.
The last activity I would suggest doing is fishing. I have a creek right behind my house so I go down there with my brother and his friends to go fishing every once in a while. It is very fun but you have to have patience. The Conodoguinet Creek and The Yellow Breeches are full of fish in the Spring.
