Prom season at Cumberland Valley has officially begun and students are getting ready to strut down the red carpet on April 21st. Tickets are now on sale following a Class Meeting with Dr. Rawls on Monday, January 13th.
Date & Location:
Prom is to take place on April 21st from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM (doors close at 7:15) at the Penn Harris Hotel in Camp Hill. The location was changed this year to ensure that there was adequate spacing and parking for students, which has been a concern with the previous location at the Hilton in Harrisburg.
Tickets Sales & Pricing:
Tickets will be sold from March 13th through March 31st and will cost $55.00, including a full meal of choice. Tickets sold past March 24th will be sold at a late-fee price of $65.00. Students need to complete the google form in order for a parent/guardian to purchase ticket(s) through Skyward. Instructions can be found on the Senior Hub at cvschools.org, or on the Senior Class Instagram Account.
Dinner and Seating:
Dr. Rawls and Mrs. Croft are introducing a class dinner this year with reserved seating. Students have the ability to choose from 4 options: Lasagna Roll Ups, Loaded Portabello Mushroom, Marinated and Grilled Flat Iron Steak, or Chicken Palermo (Gluten Free).
Each table will seat ten people and students will sit with a group of choice for dinner, similar to making reservations at a restaurant. Each group will have a reservation leader who is responsible for collecting and submitting the names of each student in the group.
What to look forward to:
This year's theme is “Red Carpet'' and it will capture the aesthetic of Old Hollywood. DJ Coast2Coast will be mixing music and controlling lights throughout the evening. The Class Officers will also provide him with a list of heavily requested songs from the student body. Students can also look forward to the tradition of crowning a Prom King and Queen.
