Cumberland Valley’s Ultimate Frisbee Club is having its first official meeting of the year on Friday, September 13th.Mr. Douglas Blacksmith supervises the club created for students to enjoy a friendly competition by playing Ultimate Frisbee, a sport not otherwise offered at Cumberland Valley. The club kickstarts the weekend by meeting every Friday after school at the Eagle View track.

“Everyone is welcome to come to any of our practices; we enjoy meeting new people and sharing our love for the sport with everyone,” senior Seth Hartmen said.

The club fosters team spirit and bonding that brings the group of students together to make the practices more fun and enjoyable.

“You will learn what it is like to be apart of a team and experience fun team bonding, especially if you have never been on the team before,” Club president Harsh Zaver said.

The club is open to any students who want to learn more about the sport, learn how to play the sport, or just to meet new people who share the common interest of the sport. More experienced and past club members teach beginners how to play the game.

“Beginners can expect practice and learn new techniques for throwing, catching, and pulling,” Hartmen said.

Ultimate Frisbee Club is perfect for anyone wanting to make new friends and explore a new sport in a recreational context.

“I go to Ultimate Frisbee because I enjoy the time I get to spend with my friends and sharing our common interest,” Zaver said. “It is a big stress reliever.”

The Ultimate Frisbee Club is perfect for anyone who has an open mind about trying new things and want to experience a team sport without the competitiveness.
